Changes to my study programme
I am studying
industrial design and some changes that could be made in my study program are
the following:
First, it
is to make courses that address topics such as UX (user experience) and UI
(user interface) from an introductory to or more advanced form, since the university
completely lacks these fields.
In
electives, do more sketching courses, since one is not enough, it is necessary
to delve deeper into this subject and the quotas are not enough, reaching the
point where an industrial designer never comes across the course.
Another
important point is the design of services that is hardly addressed in the
entire degree, in addition to teaching the basics, it is necessary to learn the
intermediate and advanced aspects of this position, and they leave you very
green when it comes to having to apply for a job.
The load is
fine, having 30 credits each semester in 5 years is bearable, in addition,
there could be courses that last a year because in one semester it is not
possible to complete all the learning and develop something fully.
About the
facilities, they will be improved; perhaps another building is missing since
there is a lack of space for necessary things in the faculty such as a place
for student projects, a nursery, among other things
In addition, there is a lack of specialized manufacturing and manufacturing workshops such as presses, and plastic injection machines, among other things that are in the industry, but not precisely in the fau.
